James Hartle Elected to the American Philosophical Society

James B. Hartle, Research Professor and Professor of Physics, Emeritus, has been elected to the American Philosophical Society in Mathematial and Physical Sciences.  Election to the APS honors  extraordinary accomplishments in the fields of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, and The Arts, Professions, and Leaders in Public & Private Affairs.  The APS is unusual among learned societies because its membership is comprised of top scholars from a wide variety of academic disciplines.  Congratulations to Jim on his 2016 election to the Americal Philosophical Society!
