Title: Quantum Measurement: Theory and Practice
Abstract: This colloquium will give an overview of my recently published book by the same name. The topic of quantum measurement will be introduced at a general level. I will present some of the most striking advances in the theory and experiments of quantum measurement. Topics covered will include weak measurement, continuous measurement, amplification, and how to break the cardinal rules of textbook quantum measurements.
