The UCSB Physics Machine Shop is a well-equipped precision machine shop, fabrication facility and Graduate Student Shop that provides services to the UCSB Physics Department, campus community, and research related endeavors worldwide.

UCSB Physics Professional Machine Shop
The UCSB Physics Machine Shop is located in Physical Sciences Building South (PSB-S) 1725, and is open from 7:00 am – noon, and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The highly skilled and experienced staff of the machine shop produces technical devices that require close tolerances precision along with whatever support equipment is required to keep research moving forward.
Physics Graduate Student Shop
The UCSB Physics Graduate Student Shop is a well-equipped shop located in Physical Sciences Building South (PSB-S) 1707, and is open from 8:00 am – noon, and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This machine shop allows students, and non-staff individuals to produce technical devices for research.
