Our alumni and friends provide essential support for the Department of Physics' teaching programs and research enterprise. Our Department was ranked among the top 5 physics graduate research programs in the nation by the National Research Council in 2010; and the faculty includes a number of members of the National Academy of Sciences and three Nobel Laureates.
